How the Mind Creates False Reality… and Continues It Even After Knowing the Truth
Recently, I discovered two shocking behaviours of the human mind.
At first, I thought they were small incidents.
But when I observed deeply, I realised these two invisible mind patterns silently control a huge part of human life, suffering, relationships, fears, addictions, emotional pain, and even self-identity.
The two invisible patterns are:
🧠 Mental Assumption
🧠Mental Carryover
And understanding these two alone can change how we see ourselves and others.
🧠 PART 1 — MENTAL ASSUMPTION
When the mind creates a story without checking reality
For almost 2 years, one young woman was working remotely in my company.
We used to speak regularly through WhatsApp for work.
Her name was similar to one of my old students.
Without checking…
without asking…
without confirming…
my mind automatically concluded:
👉 “This must be that student.”
I never questioned it.
The mind quietly accepted it as truth.
Later, when she shared her photo and details, I realised:
⚡ She was not that person at all.
At first, this looked like a simple harmless confusion.
But when I thought deeply, I realised something shocking:
💥 The mind can strongly believe something… and still be completely wrong.
And suddenly I started understanding human behavior differently.
🌊 WHY THE MIND DOES THIS
The mind does not like uncertainty.
When information is incomplete, the mind quickly fills the gap.
Instead of saying:
🤍 “I don’t know.”
The mind says:
👉 “This is probably the answer.”
Then slowly the guess becomes reality inside the head.
This happens daily in human life.
Examples:
• They did not reply → “They are ignoring me.”
• Someone looked serious → “They are angry with me.”
• One failure → “I am unlucky.”
• Someone changed → “They don’t care anymore.”
• One rejection → “Nobody values me.”
• One betrayal → “Nobody can be trusted.”
Most people are not reacting to reality.
They are reacting to assumptions created by the mind.
⚡ THE DANGEROUS PART OF ASSUMPTIONS
The problem is not just wrong thinking.
The real danger starts when we emotionally react to assumptions.
Then assumptions become:
• fights
• anger
• insecurity
• jealousy
• relationship damage
• emotional distance
• fear
• overthinking
• self-hatred
• anxiety
Many broken relationships started from stories that were never true.
Many emotional wounds are actually reactions to imagined conclusions.
🧠 PART 2 — MENTAL CARRYOVER
When the mind continues an old pattern even after knowing the truth
After discovering my mistake, I thought the lesson was over.
But then something even more shocking happened.
Even AFTER knowing she was not my old student…
whenever she messaged me,
or whenever I thought about her regarding work,
my mind still automatically connected her to that old student.
This shocked me deeply.
Because consciously I knew the truth.
Still the old mental connection continued automatically.
That is when I discovered another invisible mind law:
💥 The mind does not change immediately after knowing the truth.
This is extremely important to understand.
Most people think:
“If I understand something, I will automatically change.”
But that is not how the human mind works.
🌪️ WHY OLD PATTERNS CONTINUE
The mind is a pattern-making machine.
Anything repeated again and again becomes automatic.
Even if it is wrong.
Even if it is painful.
Even if life has already changed.
That is why:
• people cannot move on after breakups
• addictions continue despite knowing the damage
• overthinking repeats daily
• fear stays even after danger is gone
• childhood emotional wounds continue into adulthood
• toxic relationship patterns repeat again and again
• people still feel “I am not enough” even after success
• some people still live in old emotional pain from years ago
Because the mind gets attached to familiarity.
Not necessarily truth.
The mind often chooses:
⚡ familiar pain over unfamiliar peace.
This is one of the deepest invisible laws of human psychology.
🔥 WHY KNOWLEDGE ALONE DOES NOT CHANGE PEOPLE
This is why many people say:
👉 “I know all this already… but still I cannot change.”
Because understanding is only mental.
But patterns are emotional, biological, behavioral, and subconscious.
A smoker knows smoking is harmful.
Still smokes.
A person knows anger destroys relationships.
Still reacts aggressively.
A person knows overthinking is harmful.
Still repeats it every night.
Why?
Because old patterns continue automatically unless consciously changed.
🛑 HOW UNCONSCIOUS LIVING DESTROYS LIFE
Most people are living through unconscious mental loops.
Not conscious thinking.
That is why:
• same emotional suffering repeats
• same mistakes repeat
• same fears repeat
• same relationship patterns repeat
• same self-sabotage repeats
The mind silently replays old emotional programs daily.
And people think:
👉 “This is my personality.”
But many times…
it is only conditioning.
🌱 HOW I SLOWLY CHANGED THIS PATTERN
I started consciously correcting my mind.
Whenever the old association came, I reminded myself:
👉 “She is not that person.”
I consciously looked at her DP.
I consciously remembered the actual truth.
After doing this repeatedly for some time…
slowly my mind started accepting the new reality.
Then I realised:
💎 Real change happens through conscious repetition.
Not just through realization.
🌙 HOW TO OVERCOME MENTAL ASSUMPTION & MENTAL CARRYOVER
1️⃣ Stop reacting immediately
Not every thought is truth.
Pause before reacting emotionally.
2️⃣ Question your assumptions
Ask:
• Did I verify this?
• Am I reacting to facts or imagination?
• Did I directly ask the person?
3️⃣ Observe repeated mental loops
Notice what your mind repeats daily.
Because repeated thoughts slowly become identity.
4️⃣ Consciously interrupt old patterns
Whenever the old emotional pattern starts:
STOP.
Correct it consciously.
Again and again.
That repetition slowly rewires the mind.
5️⃣ Don’t feed painful loops daily
Many people repeatedly replay:
• old betrayal
• breakup memories
• anger
• insecurity
• fear
• failure
Then they wonder why the pain never leaves.
The mind becomes stronger in whatever we repeatedly feed.
6️⃣ Create new mental repetition
Peace also becomes stronger through repetition.
Confidence also becomes stronger through repetition.
Healthy thinking also becomes stronger through repetition.
The mind changes slowly through consistent conscious direction.
💫 FINAL TRUTH
Many people are not suffering because life is against them.
They are suffering because unconscious mental patterns are silently controlling them.
The mind:
• assumes
• repeats
• carries old patterns
• replays emotional memories
• creates automatic reactions
And if we never observe it consciously…
we start believing those patterns are “who we are.”
But they are not always truth.
Sometimes they are only repeated mental programs.
✨ Awareness helps us notice the pattern.
✨ Conscious repetition helps us change the pattern.
✨ Slow observation helps us escape unconscious living.
And that is where real inner transformation begins.
